From the moment they debuted, the Profusion Zinnias astonished gardeners and won awards both here and in Europe. Each new color was greeted with kudos, fully living up to the high standards of the series. Well, now you can get every single-flowered Profusion color on the marketĀand in a very economical mix.
Profusion is a landscaping zinnia, with a very bushy, well-branched, healthy habit that looks great all season long. The flowers are about 2 inches wide, with bright petals and the ability to stand up to everything from August droughts to repeated late-afternoon thunderstorms. They don’t mind extreme heat, they sneer at humidity, and unlike most other zinnias, they are very resistant to mildew. At last, a zinnia equally suited to the humid southeast and rainy Pacific northwestĀnot to mention everywhere in between.
These bushy plants, 14 to 18 inches high and 20 to 24 inches wide, are simply smothered nonstop all season with cheerful daisy-formed blooms. This mix brings you all the single Profusions, from the original yellow and orange to white, apricot, coral pink, fire, and cherry. Ideal for large plantings, they fill in the available space brilliantly, and just keep going no matter what.
Profusion begins blooming just 2 months after direct sowing into the sunny garden. It’s carefree and very tough, standing up to just about any abuse Mother Nature dishes out. We are proud to give Profusion our highest recommendation for garden-worthiness.
Zinnias are one of the easiest annuals to grow, and attract butterflies to the garden. They are the perfect cut flowerĀthe more you cut, the more you get. They thrive in the sun and heat of summer, and ask only for well-drained soil. Space the plants generously to prevent overcrowding.
